About Treeroot: the first dozen

Treeroot started in 2022 with a question asked in a kitchen: why does a sponge cost four dollars and last two weeks. The first order was a dozen, bought to find out.

Since then the range keeps what people buy again, and by the pack. Four kinds of thing, in the sizes that get used up: sponges, tennis balls, bakery boxes, one tabletop tripod.

The colours we work in come from warm earth: ochre, sage, burnt clay against dark olive. That palette is why the pages look the way they do.

The rule the people behind Treeroot keep is short. Buy by the dozen, use them, replace them, and do not sell a size nobody finishes.

Where the range goes next

A size earns its place by coming back to the same kitchen, the same court, the same market table.

Four kinds of thing is where Treeroot sits today, and the next one arrives the same way the first dozen did.
